The Hon. Joseph McNamara (Warwick, RI) is a retired public school special needs teacher, but now is an elected RI State Representative and Chair of the RI Democratic Party. His particular interest in HMS Gaspee that was lost in his district brought him to RIMAP, but his involvement in the organization has grown along with his knowledge of the possible citizen science contribution to marine archaeology.
