Charlotte Jarvis

Archaeologist, Heritage consultant, Museum exhibit consultant

Charlotte Jarvis is a researcher based at the National Maritime Museum, Netherlands. She holds degrees in maritime archaeology and history and specialises in bringing archaeological research into the museum’s exhibitions. She has research and excavation experience across the Atlantic world, and her previous work included alcohol consumption at sea; the archaeological footprint of Dutch bottles on shipwrecks; superstition at sea; and threats to underwater cultural heritage. She is part of the Secretariat for the Ocean Decade Heritage Network.
