Julie Satchell is Head of Research for the Maritime Archaeology Trust. She is an experienced maritime archaeologist who has been leading maritime archaeological research, investigation and publication projects for over twenty years and also has an extensive background in the management of archaeology and the marine historic environment. Julie has experience in shipwreck research, submerged landscape investigation, maritime archives, understanding of legislation and policy related to marine heritage, archaeological best practice, heritage consultancy, quality assurance, education and outreach programmes, design and development of evaluation, and organisational promotion through networks and media.
