The website was co-created by the UNESCO Accredited NGOs Network as a platform to showcase their work and initiatives in support of and as part of the 2001 Convention and the Decade of Ocean Science. The website is connected to the UNESCO Accredited NGOs database and presents the public with an interactive environment to explore initiatives, events, project, and experts and organisations operating to investigate, promote, and protect the underwater cultural heritage internationally.

NGOs contribute to the website by adding information about their experts, projects, publications, and initiatives organised and delivered in support of and as part of the 2001 UNESCO Convention and the Decade of Ocean Science.

A new page will be soon added to the website, to showcase, promote and present the NGOs’ activities and initiatives related to the 25^th Anniversary of the 2001 Convention.
