Building on a successful 2025 UNESCO side event, this project will create a fully online, open-access resource led by Accredited NGOs to highlight the challenges and opportunities of working with underwater cultural heritage (UCH). Designed for the general public but highly relevant to policy makers, civil servants, and heritage professionals, the platform will demystify UCH practice, counter common misconceptions, and showcase international best practice under the UNESCO 2001 Convention. Through short films, interactive media, expert discussions, and downloadable resources, the project aims to build understanding, encourage informed decision-making, and support wider ratification and implementation of the Convention.
