Kiki Kuijjer

Dr Kiki Kuijjer is Digital Engagement Manager for the Ocean Decade Heritage Network (ODHN) and a member of the Network’s Secretariat. She manages the Network’s digital communications and supports engagement across its international membership, helping to strengthen connections between cultural heritage, ocean science and sustainability within the UN Ocean Decade. Kiki is a digital scholarship practitioner, researcher and communicator with an interdisciplinary background spanning archaeology and ocean science. She holds a PhD from the University of Southampton, where she used numerical ocean modelling to investigate the role of ocean currents and tides in early seafaring. Alongside her work with ODHN, she works in Digital Scholarship at the University of Southampton, supporting digitisation, digital scholarship services and initiatives that help make research, collections and knowledge more accessible and reusable. She is particularly interested in how digital methods can improve access to knowledge and strengthen connections across disciplines and communities.
